The gift of teaching is the God-given ability to study, research, explain, and communicate God’s truth.
Verse to consider:
2 Timothy 2:2
You may have the gift of teaching if:
you can present the truth of God’s word in ways that anyone can understand
you enjoy digging into a subject – examining and investigating it
you regularly use biblical illustrations in day-to-day life
you have strong convictions based on solid research
you start with Scripture when answering a question
you test what others say against Scriptural truth
you define life by Scripture rather than Scripture by life
you favor teaching over evangelism
At the same time, if you have the gift of teaching:
you may run the risk of weighting knowledge over application
you may feel prideful about how much you know
you may lean toward legalism and dogmatism
you may find it difficult to accept the viewpoints of others
Here are some ministries where you might utilize the gift of teaching:

When choosing a ministry in which to serve according to your spiritual gift, keep in mind the unique mix of gifts the Spirit of God may have given you. Look for ministries that utilize more than one of your top potential gifts. Do not be afraid to test your gift mix in various ministries. Only by testing your gifts via serving can you be sure they truly are gifts given by the Holy Spirit. Serving according to your spiritual gifting, though often challenging, will bring joy into your life and the lives of those to whom you are serving.
