The gift of service is the God-given ability to recognize a need and administer assistance to others.
Verses to consider:
Acts 6:1-4
You may have the gift of service if:
you willingly meet the needs of others
you often go beyond what is asked of you
you tend to be a bit of a perfectionist – precise and orderly
you would rather be doing something than just talking about it
you regularly put the needs of others before yourself
you have trouble turning people away when they ask something of you
the opportunity to serve increases your energy level
At the same time, if you have the gift of service:
you may tend to criticize those who aren’t serving as much as you (whether they have the gift of service or not)
you may help others to the neglect of your own needs and the needs of your family
you may not like someone else serving you
you may have a strong need to be appreciated for what you have done
Here are some ministries where you might utilize the gift of service:

When choosing a ministry in which to serve according to your spiritual gift, keep in mind the unique mix of gifts the Spirit of God may have given you. Look for ministries that utilize more than one of your top potential gifts. Do not be afraid to test your gift mix in various ministries. Only by testing your gifts via serving can you be sure they truly are gifts given by the Holy Spirit. Serving according to your spiritual gifting, though often challenging, will bring joy into your life and the lives of those to whom you are serving.
